Yesterday, on 19th of September, Eagle Vision announced the release of the Amy Winehouse documentary. Amy Winehouse – Back to Black will shed light on making of Amy’s last studio album. Documentary will include previously unseen footage of the late singer, as well as interviews with musicians who collaborated on the album – Mark Ronson, Salaam Remi, to name a few.
Bonus footage will include the performance “An Intimate Night in London” Amy gave for her friends, family and her people in the music industry on February 10, 2008 – same night she won five Grammys. This documentary will be focused more on her music and artistic expression than the Oscar-winning documentary from 2015, which talked mostly about her personal life and troubles with drugs and alcohol.
Her album Back to Black truly made Amy immortal. Raw emotions played with an expressive, unique contralto immersed in the sounds of soul, jazz and rhythm and blues – retro sound coming back in spotlight on the wings of Amy’s immense talent. Amy Winehouse – Back to Black will reveal the process of songmaking, Amy’s relationship with other musicians, how the album was made and how it came to be one of the best albums in modern music history.
Amy Winehouse – Back to Black will be released on 2nd of November this year on Blu-ray and DVD.
